The Architectural Heritage Fund 
The Architectural Heritage Fund is a registered charity founded in 1976 to promote the conservation of historic buildings in the UK. It does this by providing advice, information and financial assistance in the form of grants and low interest working capital loans for projects undertaken by building preservation trust (BPTs) and other charities throughout the UK.

ICCROM
Formally known as the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, ICCROM has a worldwide mandate to promote the conservation of all types of cultural heritage. It currently comprises over 100 Member States. It has five main areas of activity: Training, Research, Information, Co-operation and Advocacy.

 

ICOM-CC
The Conservation Committee of the International Council of Museums holds triannual meetings (in 2008 in New Delhi) and has 22 specialist Working Groups. ICOM also has national groups such as ICOM-UK

 

ICOMOS UK

ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites, is a non-governmental organisation whose mandate is the world's cultural heritage. ICOMOS-UK aims to be the lead voice in the UK for the world's cultural heritage, providing a forum for all those involved in the conservation of cultural heritage.

 

International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC)
The IIC promotes the knowledge, methods and working standards needed to protect and preserve historic and artistic works throughout the world. It runs a biannual congress and publishes Studies in Conservation and Reviews in Conservation

 

The Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC)
The Institute of Historic Building Conservation is the professional institute which represents conservation professionals in the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

 

The Landmark Trust
The Landmark Trust is a building preservation charity that rescues historic buildings at risk and gives them a new life as places to stay in and experience.

 

Maintain Our Heritage
Maintain our Heritage was formed in 1999 to promote a new, long-term, sustainable strategy for the care of historic buildings with a pre-eminence given to maintenance rather than sporadic major repair.

 
National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS)
NADFAS is an arts-based charity, with over 340 local Decorative and Fine Art Societies in the UK and Mainland Europe; three Societies in New Zealand; and a sister association in Australia (AADFAS). All NADFAS Societies subscribe to the advancement of arts education, and appreciation and the preservation of our artistic heritage.

The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales
The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales is the national body of research and record for the historic environment of Wales.
 
SAVE Britain's Heritage
Save was formed in 1975 by a group of journalists, historians, architects, and planners to campaign publicly for endangered historic buildings.
 
Scottish Lime Centre

The Twentieth Century Society
The Twentieth Century Society was founded as the Thirties Society in 1979. The need for a specialised conservation society covering the period after 1914 was increasingly appreciated in the 1970s as understanding and awareness of twentieth century design was developing.
